What I learnt from being alone in nature

I did my reflection in the Macritchie Reservoir near the bridge of the treetop walk. During my 30 mins I saw many things. Some things that I noticed are the different kinds of leaves on each of the surrounding trees. Some trees had more jagged leaves than others and some were round, even the leaves on each tree were all uniquely different, they all had similar traits but each aspect of them all different they were all similar but they could be told apart. I also saw the reflection on the light reflected by the sun and looked very aesthetically pleasing. I also saw several monkeys hanging around the bridge waiting for people to pass by and they were all communicating with each other in "hoos" and "haas". I could see the bridge sway and see the tree tops that cover the high-rise buildings that were nowhere in sight, a rare sight in urban Singapore.

Nature is important to me as it allows me to live and the beauty of nature is always something to behold. Nature such as trees and plants give oxygen for humans and animals to live and the balance brought about by animals. The cycle of life is something that happens regularly in nature and the balance of it is perfected by millions of years of evolution is beautiful. I should take care of nature so as to protect our green lungs of the earth. Without nature, without plants and animals we will not be able to survive without them therefore we should protect them. One thing I can do to protect nature is by using recyclable things and using reusable containers and bottles. Through this I can pollute less and lower my carbon footprint which will reduce greenhouse gas emissions that will benefit nature.
