I lead a problem-solving activity during our Scout leadership camp held by the troop. It was held by Rover Andrew in 15 mins. We had an Imaginary scenario where we had to cross an imaginary river with rapid water so we could not touch the ground, we had to cross the gap by using a couple of poles to cross the gap. We thought we could just balance on the poles and try to cross the gap but it was too crude and we could not balance on the pole. So we thought of using 4 poles to stabilize the makeshift for a short period of time so we would be able to cross it safely for us to make sure we tried to stabilize the pole by holding the poles where they were in with our hands and I told them to let the lightest person go first so as to quickly have another person on the other side for me to successfully cross over. However, Rover Andrew now intervened and said that it was now a thunderstorm and said that the poles across the bridge had been struck by lighting and now collapsed so we had to think of another plan. This time we came up with a plan that we put the two poles together and try to crawl across it, slowly we worked together and put the last two poles together and made a small platform with poles where we could use our limbs and crawl over, all three of us successfully made it over and we cleared the activity
In one of the SLC training, we came up with a new way to help practise knots with the Sec 2s we came up with a new way by making a stretcher make it sturdy enough to hold up a person. At first, we taught them the basic lashings and knots and at the end we made them build their own stretcher for a race to test them on the scout promise law and hymn

Through the stretcher race, we learnt that some of the Secondary 2s did not know some parts of the scout hymn and promise and law this was a challenge to the game as we thought they would know them so It gave us the idea to test them and teach them about the hymn, promise and law the next time.
