I chose the rubix cube puzzles as i thought it was a very fun and challenging puzzle and this is one of my favourite pastimes when i was in my primary school years I also had increased my collection and I thought that this would be fun and interesting to choose this to share.
I learnt how to save my money and be more careful with the spending of my money. I had times where I had to go hungry because I had spent too much on the puzzle and from that i learnt how to calculate my spendings to avoid that situation.Another lesson I learnt was how to be more resilient as I started with the standard 3*3 cube it also came with instructions on how to solve it . I spent half of that day trying to solve the cube but to no avail so i thought to myself if i come back tomorrow refreshed i will make more progress. So the next day I tried again and to my surprise I managed to solve it.so i began to buy increasingly harder cubes like the 4*4 and in the puzzle I had more trouble than the normal cube but I did not give up and I tried my best to solve it only on the third day of buying the cube I managed to fix it and due to my resilience I could solve it thus i feel that it was an important lesson for me .
I maintain my collection by cleaning the surfaces with a clean cloth every month so that no dust settles on my collection and every two months i check the screws and magnets in my cubes if the screws are starting to rust i would unscrew them and cover it in a paste of baking soda and water and let it rest and after a few minutes (around 30mins) and then I will scrub off the rust. If the magnets are weak I would just go online to buy the magnets from there and put them inside the cubes to maintain their quality.
d) I plan to further collect more cubes during the holidays as now I am focusing on studying but i plan to collect more shapeshifters , the megaminx, the gear cube and many more . Challenging myself to harder and harder puzzles.
